Digital nomads are individuals who exploit technology and the web to get their work done, and lead a nomadic lifestyle: whether working from home, rather than in a foreign country, but also from a place like a library or a beach in the sun.

What do digital nomads do?

The digital nomad is mainly a freelancer – usually free from time constraints – a specialist in internet and computer work. Professions such as the YouTuber, the influencer, the computer programmer, the web designer, the web marketing expert, SEO consultants, but also the accountant who works from home, and those who work remotely, fall into this category. The complete list of all the professions would be too long to report in full, therefore, it is possible to close the circle by stating that:  digital nomads are all those people who exercise a profession that requires only a PC and an internet connection.

How do I become a digital nomad?

To become a digital nomad, you need to ask yourself a few simple questions:

• What am I good at?
• What do I like to do?
• Would people need my skills?
• Can I turn what I can do into a job?

Once you have identified your talents, you can take courses and perhaps gain some experience here and there to make it worthwhile on your CV.  Remember that there is no list of specific skills you need to have in order to become a digital nomad, you just need to be good in your field, have a PC, an internet connection everywhere you go. And, of course, you should speak English.
