An Indian-Czech family runs a big old villa in the Krušné Hory mountains of the Czech Republic.
They are turning it into a cosy farmhouse with alpacas, horses, chickens and other animals, plus a meditation and yoga hall. The house has several rooms and halls for guests and volunteers. Helpers are treated like part of the family and share South Indian, Czech and European meals together. Volunteers help about 5 hours a day, 5 days a week with cleaning, painting, preparing guest rooms, babysitting two young daughters, gardening, cutting and moving wood, feeding animals and clearing snow in winter. In return they receive free food and accommodation in a peaceful place without Wi-Fi or mobile signal. Free time can be spent hiking, biking, skiing, walking with alpacas, picking mushrooms or visiting nearby towns. Minimum stay is three weeks and they prefer non-smokers.
