Psyclean is an environmental initiative dedicated to promoting ecological awareness and responsible waste management at open-air music festivals, particularly within the psytrance and electronic music scenes across Europe. Established in 2013, Psyclean combines practical environmental action with a community-driven philosophy, aiming to foster a culture of sustainability among festival-goers.

Volunteers are required to be at least 18 years old, provide their own camping gear, and commit to scheduled shifts during and after the festival. In return, they receive benefits such as meals, access to facilities, and a refund of their festival ticket upon fulfilling their duties.

Since its inception, Psyclean has collaborated with over 81 festivals, including notable events like Burning Mountain, Psy-Fi, and Own Spirit. Their efforts have connected hundreds of volunteers and influenced the experiences of hundreds of thousands of festival attendees, setting new standards for environmental consciousness within the festival community.
