The main eastern entrance gopura (gateway) of the complex. You can tell by the richly carved stonework, the cruciform terrace, and the path flanked by balustrades resembling naga (mythical serpent) bodies.
It is one of the most photographed views before entering deeper into the temple where the jungle has more aggressively taken over. It’s often the first major temple stop for many visitors doing the “small circuit” around Angkor.
