The volunteer placements for 2023 in Southern Spain are now open at a small horse riding centre nestled in the picturesque Alpujarra mountains. Situated in a stunning natural environment, the centre is located near the vibrant and alternative town of Orgiva.

From now until mid-September, the centre is accepting volunteer requests for placements, with a minimum stay of two weeks required. They are particularly in need of helping hands in June and August. In exchange for assistance with the horses, animals, general tasks, and child care (as the owner has a 6-year-old), volunteers will receive accommodation, meals, and the opportunity to go horse riding.

Various volunteer exchange options are available, and there is even space for those traveling in their own camper van. Local volunteers are also welcome to join and contribute to the centre’s activities. For those who have a keen interest in horse riding, the centre offers 5 and 10-hour riding bundles as part of their working holiday packages, along with general volunteering opportunities. It’s a chance to learn more about horses, improve riding skills, or even begin learning from scratch.
