If a volunteer opportunity in India asks you to pay $100 USD per week, then it’s not a true passion project. For that much, you could start your own project in India.
This reeks of mismanagement.
Thanks for commenting.
If you have experience and knowledge, it would be really helpful if you could write the organization and suggest to them a better way to manage the project and host volunteers. Any constructive criticism is always very welcome and help organizations grow. In any case, there are many opportunities in India that are completely free; however, if you invest your money in a social project you are probably helping more than just doing free volunteering 2 or 3 weeks. The organization won’t have to support the cost of your stays and could instead invest that money for sustainable and social goals.
