Abraham Hostel Jerusalem | volunteer opportunity and hospitality exchange

This hostel exchange in Israel is for travellers who want to stay at least 6 weeks and become part of the Abraham Hostels family.

Volunteers help in three lively hostels in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem or Nazareth, all located close to markets, nightlife and historic sites. The role is mainly social: serving breakfast, helping at the bar, running evening activities, escorting guests to free walking tours and keeping common areas welcoming. Volunteers usually work around 30 hours per week (5 days, 6 hours per day) and are expected to be friendly, flexible and comfortable in a busy, international environment. In return, they receive a bed in a volunteers-only dorm, breakfast, Wi-Fi, use of hostel facilities and discounts at the bar, plus free or discounted tours and the chance to stay at the other Abraham hostels on days off. Applicants should be 21–35, non-Israeli, speak good English and have previous hostel travel experience.
