You would like to volunteer in the new year? You want to participate in an international aid project? The team of Medical Volunteers International e.V. works to ensure the protection of human rights in Europe through medical first aid. Currently we are active at three locations in Greece and support people in need who rely on our independent help. Starting latest in February we are looking for a Social Media Expert to support our work and help providing necessary reach and attention to the important work we do on site.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

In this role you are responsible for keeping our social media channels up-to-date and contribute to recruiting new volunteers for our work, as well as providing information about our projects and informing our alumni about the current status on site. As the head of our social media team you will be responsible for editorial planning, writing and editing texts, as well as editing images and translations.
Together with the fundraising team you will also support the Board of Directors in developing a general public relations strategy for our association, so that we can create a common sustainable basis for the projects on site.

ABOUT YOU:

You already have experience with social media campaigns (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter) or writing and publishing and you can contribute around 8-10 hours a week. As we are posting bilingual and are working in international teams you are expected to have very good language skills in German and English. You will show a commitment to and understanding of the Refugee situation in Greece and keep yourself updated about the situation on the ground. Former volunteer experiences in Greece or the Balkans would be a plus.
