Volunteer with the Vervet Monkey Foundation in South Africa
Monkey Sanctuary experience – Volunteer with the Vervet Monkey Foundation and help our team care for nearly 600 rescued vervet monkeys in South Africa! We take volunteers from around the world, most choose to stay with us for 4-8 weeks and many extend their trip or return.
Monkey sanctuary – Volunteer Exchange
Volunteer fees will cover onsite accommodation and vegan meals. We don’t require any specific skills or qualifications to volunteer, just the desire to work hard for the monkeys!
There are opportunities to visit the famous Kruger National Park, Blyde River Canyon and other incredible local sites.
Coming up is an especially busy but rewarding time- every year from November-March, the VMF takes in dozens of injured and orphaned babies and care for them until they are able to meet foster monkey mums and become integrated into our onsite, rehabilitated troops. We need YOUR help to care for these precious infants as they graduate through our well-established Foster Mum Programme.
*The VMF is accredited by the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries, as well as a member of the Pan African Sanctuary Alliance.
