DRH Lindersvold is a Danish school that offers training programs for international volunteers.
Located in Faxe, Denmark, the school provides a multicultural learning environment with a holistic approach that places students at the center of the educational process.
“Volunteer for Change”
One of its main programs is “Volunteer for Change,” a 10-month journey designed to empower participants with the tools and knowledge to make a difference. The program begins with three months of theoretical training in Denmark, focusing on global affairs, world history, and the root causes of poverty. Participants then spend six months working on community development projects in countries such as Zambia, Malawi, or India, partnering with local organizations to promote education, health, and sustainable development.
The final month is dedicated to evaluating the experience and raising awareness through presentations and workshops back in Denmark.
There is a program fee, which includes accommodation, meals, learning materials, and transportation during the training period in Denmark. Additionally, scholarships provided by the Humana People to People Federation can cover up to 85% of the program cost. During the six months abroad, expenses for flights, visas, health insurance, and vaccinations are covered by the partnering organization.
