The Lab is a small community and language center in Vung Tau, Vietnam, using education to empower local youth.

Volunteers support the After School Program for children aged 4 to 15, building creativity, open-mindedness and empathy through communication and basic sociology activities. Expect about 20 to 25 hours a week: teach from 5 pm to 7 pm Monday to Friday, then plan lessons or help with community events such as beach cleanups, coding and English clubs, yoga or LGBTQ+ awareness activities. Free local homestay accommodation is provided for around five weeks, with one week for orientation and four weeks for classes, and there is potential to extend. Volunteers can also pitch their own projects and may find extra income tutoring on the side. This is a friendly, inclusive space in a lively beach city that welcomes proactive people who enjoy teaching, teamwork and grassroots community work.
