Work exchange volunteer projects connect travellers with hosts who offer food and accommodation in return for a few hours of help each day. In this section you will find work exchange opportunities in hostels, farms, eco-communities, schools, NGOs and many other local projects.

On Voluntouring.org we focus mainly on work exchanges that are free to join, where volunteers receive lodging and meals and usually help around 20 to 30 hours per week. In some cases, especially in developing countries or very small organisations, hosts may ask for a reasonable contribution to cover part of the costs. Please read each listing carefully, ask questions, and choose only projects that feel transparent and fair to you.
