Tent ⛺
Volunteer opportunities with tent accommodation
Explore volunteer projects and work exchanges where tents are provided as accommodation or form an important part of the experience.
This page brings together the opportunities currently listed on Voluntouring.org under the tent tag. These may include eco-camps, campsites, festivals, farms, intentional communities, glamping projects and outdoor events in different parts of the world.
What does tent accommodation mean?
Depending on the project, volunteers may stay in an ordinary camping tent, bell tent, glamping tent, tipi or another temporary outdoor structure. A tent may be private or shared, and some hosts provide the complete setup while others ask volunteers to bring their own camping equipment.
In some listings, tents are part of the activities rather than the accommodation. Volunteers may be asked to prepare, assemble, clean or maintain tents for a campsite, festival or seasonal event. Read the complete description to understand how the tag applies to each opportunity.
How to use this page
Choose the listing that interests you and check its publication or latest update date. Some older opportunities may still be available, so contact the host directly to confirm. Look for the Contact details section, where you may find an official website, email address, telephone number, social media page or application form.
What to confirm before travelling
- Whether the tent is provided or you must bring your own
- Whether the accommodation is private or shared
- Whether a mattress, bedding and secure storage are included
- What toilets, showers, drinking water and cooking facilities are available
- Whether electricity, telephone coverage and internet access are available
- What temperatures and weather conditions to expect during your stay
- Which meals, working hours, days off and local transport are included
Tent accommodation can be affected by heat, cold, rain, wind and seasonal conditions. Ask the host for recent information and make sure your clothing, equipment and insurance are appropriate for the location and activities.
Some opportunities provide food and accommodation at no cost, while others may request a daily or monthly contribution or offer different arrangements. Confirm every condition directly with the host before making travel plans.
