Teaching, workshops and experience

Before applying, ask what kind of dance activity is planned, who will participate, whether you will lead or assist, and what level of preparation or experience is expected.
If the role involves children or vulnerable people, responsibilities should be clearly defined and appropriately supervised. Volunteers should not replace trained staff, provide therapy without suitable qualifications, or be placed in unsupervised caregiving roles.
Culture, consent and participation
Traditional and community dance can be an important form of cultural exchange. When learning or sharing local dance traditions, follow the guidance of local participants and hosts and respect the cultural meaning of the practice. If performances, photographs or videos are involved, clarify consent and how recordings may be used.
