Monkton Wyld Court is a Grade II-listed rectory with an organic garden, vegetarian kitchen, and a warm, welcoming community. Volunteers are invited to join short-term (two weeks), longer-term (depending on project needs), or as local volunteers from nearby areas.
Volunteers help with gardening, cooking, cleaning, and maintaining the house and grounds. Itโs hands-on, physical work, expect to spend time outdoors in all kinds of weather. In exchange, youโll receive shared accommodation in one of the Courtโs outbuildings, vegetarian meals (often sourced from the garden), and plenty of opportunities for relaxation, including walks, library access, games, and evenings by the fire pit.
- Volunteers work around 35 hours per week with two days off.
Sensible footwear and work gloves are essential. While Monkton Wyld can sometimes host adults with children, this is limited and may require a contribution toward room and board.
Pets cannot be accommodated.
