You can take a safari and visit the source of the Nile the longest river in the world since the organisation is closer. See the beautiful falls of Sezibwa in Mukono and Sipi falls found in the eastern part of the country, and other natural tourist sites.
Discovering the different cultural dress codes, visiting the cultural, museums, learning a few words from the different languages, getting new friends, and learning how to prepare local dishes.
Knowing how welcoming and hospitable the people of Uganda are it’s always possible to find someone willing to talk to you about their history and background and about where you come from Ugandans are welcoming and friendly and they like sharing.

Note about the volunteer work and other expectations ๐
We do not drink and so you can not drink alcohol or beer from our home and smooching is not allowed – We are looking for volunteers from abroad who can help in Mukono district central Uganda. We would like to have volunteers that are friendly, outgoing, patient and flexible. It is a bonus to have knowledge in social, community work and education. The organization is currently implementing projects of empowering vulnerable children through education and young mothers with self help-skills. so every volunteer is sure to have something to do that they like. We are particularly interested in volunteers supporting children in the following fields:
- School project: help teach English, Math, Reading, Rhymes, Games, Music, Dance, Drama, and Poetry, and share your own ideas for activities for children.
- Medical centre: help with laboratory work, childcare, treatment, and nursing. Free treatment for HIV+ children.
- Education support program: support and counsel 91 vulnerable children with fees, school supplies, uniforms, and sports equipment.
- Teenage mothers skills project / Youth empowerment: empower young mothers with skills in crafts, textiles, and fashion. Provide counselling and encourage positive attitudes toward life.
- Nutrition support project: support children affected with HIV with porridge, sugar, fruits, greens, Posho, and beans. Provide counselling and guidance to caretakers.
We are also in need of volunteers for field visits to check on supported children’s welfare, update data files, and visit other supported children’s schools. Additionally, we need help fundraising for the project locally and internationally. We seek friendly, outgoing, patient, and flexible volunteers with knowledge in social, community work, and education. Join us and make a meaningful impact on someone’s life.

there will be three meals provided per day. Voluntourists have access to the kitchen. They will also enjoy local food like matooke, kalo, cassava, sweet potatoes and other foods like rice and spaghetti. We are not vegetarians but we welcome vegetarians and we are able to provide their meals accordingly.
