Casa Verdi is a community house and guest space in the centre of Catania, Sicily.
It welcomes travellers and long term residents who enjoy living together in a relaxed, creative environment. Volunteers help with everyday tasks such as cleaning, changing beds, doing laundry, preparing simple meals and welcoming new guests. In return they receive a bed in a shared volunteer room, usually with meals included, and become part of a friendly international family. The expected help is around half a day for 5 or 6 days per week, but exact hours and days off should be agreed with the hosts. The project fits people who are open minded, responsible and happy in a busy social house where many guests pass through. Free time can be used to explore Catania, visit the local markets and enjoy trips to Mount Etna, nearby beaches and other beautiful places in Sicily.
