Viirelaid is a tiny private island in the Baltic Sea, off the coast of Estonia.
The island has a lighthouse, a few houses and event spaces, and is used for small retreats, company events and private celebrations. Volunteers can join the small team and help with daily life on the island. Typical tasks include gardening and outdoor work, simple maintenance, preparing common areas and sometimes helping in the kitchen or bar during events. The exchange is about 30 hours of help per week in return for free shared accommodation in a staff house and meals. Life is quiet and close to nature, with sea views in every direction and wildlife such as rabbits and seals. Volunteers should enjoy remote places, teamwork and flexible tasks. The project is still active, but conditions can change each season, so it is important to contact Viirelaid directly to ask about current volunteer opportunities.
