Teach English in Colombia! Hello, I am the International Volunteer Coordinator at the Marina Orth Foundation (and a fellow ex-pat!). The Marina Orth Foundation is currently looking for volunteering English teachers to work within public schools in Medellin and El Carmen de Viboral.

No teaching experience needed, just fluency in English and at least a B1 level of Spanish.

The Marina Orth Foundation follows COVID-19 Health and Safety Protocols.

Requirements:
  • People who can be in the program for a minimum of six months and a maximum of twelve months.
  • Experience working with children.
  • Certify English as your native language or certify a B2 level in English.
  • Skills in the use of technology.
  • B1/B2 level of Spanish.
  • Entrepreneurial, Flexible, Organized.
  • Able to work in a team and independently.
  • Open to new cultures and cultural experiences

What will you do?
  1. Full-time work (3 to 5 hours of teaching per day, 2 hours club, lesson planning)
  2. Plan classes with the headteachers and support them in their classes.
  3. Assist in the planning of cultural or recreational events for the reinforcement of English or to deepen understanding of American culture with Spelling Bees, Valentineโ€™s Day activities, as well as an understanding of other cultures with Art Clubs, Passport Clubs, etc.
  4. Lead and plan English clubs to be given as an extracurricular activity.
  5. ” ” English classes for the Marina Orth Foundation staff.
  6. Follow COVID-19 Health and Safety Guidelines to keep students, teachers and volunteers safe.

I am looking for 2 experienced English teachers in Medellin and El Carmen de Viboral, from the beginning/mid-July to December 15th, paid experience in NGO, real social impact, Spanish mandatory, more info = see contact details below.



Accommodation, Hospitality and Exchange

We offer volunteers free room and board, a monthly stipend, and help with the visa process!

The starting contract would be from January 2019-December 2019.
