Volunteer exchange in Germany’s Black Forest.
A hiking home offers a private room, meals included, and possible pocket money. Volunteers help five hours a day, five days a week with gardening, simple repairs, dining room service, and cleaning. Hosts are a couple and welcome cultural exchange, language practice, and outings. Seasonal help needed from April to October and January to March. Vegetarian and vegan diets can be arranged. German and English are spoken. Location is on the Westweg near Hinterzarten; pickup is often possible. Winter brings cross-country skiing, summer brings hikes, a nearby lake, and Freiburg’s city attractions. Internet available.
