Volunteer in Sustainable Art Projects at Markets on the Sunshine Coast

At Primal School, volunteers get the chance to experience more than just workshop creativity.

Located on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, this project is dedicated to reducing landfill waste by transforming discarded materials into vibrant art, furniture, and dÃĐcor. Volunteers can take part in making pieces in the studio and also join in at local markets where the creations are displayed and sold. Skills in art, woodworking, metalworking, social media, or e-commerce are welcome, but enthusiasm and a love for sustainability matter most. Accommodation and meals are provided, and the setting offers plenty of opportunities to enjoy nature, from creeks and mountains to beaches. Volunteers contribute 4–5 hours per day, five to seven days a week, with flexible stay options. This is a unique chance to combine cultural exchange, environmental activism, and community creativity.
