K2S (Knowledge 2 Share Foundation) is a Dutch-founded project based in Cape Town.

The core mission is to support aspiring entrepreneurs in disadvantaged areas. Volunteers who join become โ€œambassadors,โ€ taking part in a several-week stay during which they help share knowledge, provide mentorship, teach or train, and help build up small business skills among youth and adults.

How the volunteer exchange works

The program is typically structured as a five-week project. Volunteers spend this time in Cape Townโ€™s disadvantaged communities working in hands-on roles. They might help organize workshops, give business guidance, assist with social media or marketing, maybe teach basic entrepreneurship or digital skills. Because the goal is knowledge sharing, thereโ€™s mutual learning: volunteers contribute their skills, but also learn from locals about entrepreneurship in that setting, cultural factors, and community challenges.
