Talet Dar Abu Jubra (often written “Talet Dar Abo Jubran”) is an on-site restaurant run by a small family near Mount Nebo in Madaba, Jordan. Many booking sites list the lodging itself as “Town of Nebo Hotel” or “Town of Mount Nebo Hotel,” and some older pages also show “View Nebo.” A small, rustic eco-lodge near Mount Nebo that hosts a room-and-board work exchange. They invite travellers to help locals and share the lifestyle in return for food and accommodation; just off the Madaba–Mount Nebo road.
Mount Nebo is famous as the biblical lookout where Moses saw the Promised Land and, according to tradition, died. From the summit you can see the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, Jericho and, on a clear day, Jerusalem. At the top stands the Memorial Church of Moses with important Byzantine mosaics, along with the Brazen Serpent sculpture by the Italian artist Gian Paolo Fantoni. The site is cared for by the Custody of the Holy Land and has been a pilgrimage stop visited by popes in 2000 and 2009.
