Time exchange contractย  โœ’๏ธโŒ›

Timerepublik guide to deals โ€“ Dear reader and aspiring collaborator, this page is designed to be a small guide for those who would like to participate in this project in exchange for time credits.

We are generally magnanimous about the rewards and payments* with Timerepublikโ€™s time credits.

However, since our time credit is not infinite, we will list on this page what you should keep in mind before starting an occasional collaborative relationship with us in exchange for Timerepublik time credits.

Things to keep in mind when you offer your help in exchange for time credits (from the Timerepublik website).

1) Please, don’t ask for remuneration in cash (neither at the beginning nor at the end of our collaborative relationship) ๐Ÿšซ

If you are looking for a job, or you want to be paid with monetary donations, this is the wrong place! ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ

Unfortunately, we can not pay any contribution; in fact, the only payment that we occasionally receive is used for web project purposes only and other non-profits activities.

Therefore, we invite you to do the opposite: consider supporting us with a small donation via Paypal, especially to cover the annual costs of server+domain.

Here is the next rule:

2) Before starting to carry out the task, wait for our collaborators to give you the go! โœ‹

After we send a help request in the public forum of TR, it often happens that some people respond to us with their opinion, or with a quick solution of the problem, immediately asking for a payment of 5 minutes, 10 minutes or even 30 minutes for the time they took to respond!

Usually, we have no problem rewarding for the support/advice provided, but keep in mind that our requests reach tens if not hundreds of people. If all these people acted the same way immediately demanding payment, it would be difficult for us to reward everyone! Our time account would soon fall to zero. For this reason, wait for us to give you the authorization to carry out the assignment.

3) consider the possibility of sending us some examples of your previous work or portfolio ๐Ÿงพ

If you offer your services as a writer or a translator and have already done similar tasks in the past, send us some links that will allow us to examine and evaluate your writing style.

For example, if you have a blog, you could send us a relative link, so we will visit it and read your previous works.

If you are an illustrator, you could send us some drawings you have made in the past.

Before proposing yourself as a writer, do not forget to read our manifesto.ย It will help you to understand if the VolunTouring project is right for you and if your ideas are in line with our philosophy!ย Not infrequently we have received texts that deal with touristic holidays, fast travelling, things that we do not deal with and that in some respect are contrary to our travel ethics.

Do not be afraid, nobody expects professional services! ๐Ÿ™‚

None of us is a professional writer. We are here above all to have fun!ย In this regard, if you went on a trip that you would like to write about but you feel you are not a good writer, do not worry, we will help you! On our team, there are in fact passionate writers and proofreaders, ready to give you a hand and make your story worthy of being shared and published!

4) Write us a time payment โฑ๏ธ estimation already in the first reply message

The estimate * is the initial evaluation of the time necessary to carry out a project or to carry out the assignment. It does not represent the final payment but only an approximate amount of time that one thinks of having to use.ย If the amount of the estimate you propose will be within our reach, we will accept your offer and we will give you the go-to proceed with the work.

If not, we will refuse. No harm, no foul!

Example of an estimation: ๐Ÿ”–

Letโ€™s say that you want to write an article about an experience you had abroad. For your writing activity, you want to receive a good amount of time credits in return. If you think that writing a story takes about 2 hours, the estimate will be 2 hours.

If it takes more time than expected, we will be happy to give you the remaining time, provided it doesnโ€™t differ too much from the original time expectation.
