Posting in Facebook groups? here’s what to avoid ℹ️

Facebook group guidelines

This post is missing an image. It might not be removed, but in volunteering abroad groups, posts with a relevant image usually get more views and more replies. A good image helps people understand your context quickly and makes your post feel more trustworthy.

Best options: a clear photo of the place, accommodation, work area, or surroundings. If you do not have a photo, use a simple graphic with the key details (location, dates, hours, what’s included, costs). Avoid photos of children or vulnerable people, and do not share identifiable faces without consent.

Quick reminder
Read the group rules before posting. Be transparent about costs and conditions, and keep safeguarding in mind when posts involve children or vulnerable people.
