Partners and support

Voluntouring.org partners

Voluntouring.org is open to partnership proposals from organisations, communities and initiatives whose work is compatible with our approach to responsible travel, volunteering and cultural exchange.

A partnership is a specific collaboration between Voluntouring.org and another organisation. It is separate from listing publication, sponsorship, advertising and donations.

Read our philosophy.

What a partnership means

A Voluntouring.org Partnership is an active, reciprocal and time-limited collaboration between Voluntouring.org and an external organisation around specific shared goals or activities.

Partner status cannot be purchased and does not constitute certification, verification, endorsement or a guarantee of the organisation or any programme it operates. Listing publication, editorial contributions, advertising and sponsorship are separate processes and do not confer or preserve Partner status.

Every partnership should have a clear mutual benefit and a defined purpose. Voluntouring.org does not enter partnerships that consist solely of providing ongoing promotion, volunteer recruitment or editorial services to another organisation.

The benefit to each side may take different forms depending on the collaboration. This could include reciprocal visibility, shared resources, specialist knowledge, editorial or educational projects, community initiatives, technical support or other agreed activities.

Active partnerships are reviewed approximately every 12 months and may be renewed, changed or concluded depending on whether the collaboration is still active and useful to both sides.

Partnership proposals are welcome

We are open to considering partnership proposals, but collaborations are evaluated individually according to their purpose, compatibility with Voluntouring.org and the time and resources currently available to our small project.

If you would like to propose a partnership, please briefly explain who you are, what kind of collaboration you have in mind, what you could contribute and what you would expect from Voluntouring.org.

A proposal does not guarantee that a partnership will be established.

Want to publish on Voluntouring.org?

Partnership and listing publication are separate. Hosts and organisations can submit volunteering opportunities, internships or other eligible programmes for editorial review without becoming partners.

If you want to publish an opportunity, please use the host publication form. Traditional fair exchanges can normally be published free of charge, while fee-based and other non-standard programmes may require an editorial publication contribution according to our FAQ for hosts.

For other enquiries, you can use our contact page.

Sponsorship and advertising

We may consider sponsorship or advertising from organisations, services and initiatives that are compatible with our volunteer and travel philosophy.

Sponsorship and advertising are separate from partnership status and host listing publication. Paying for advertising or sponsorship does not purchase editorial approval, partnership status, preferential treatment for a volunteering programme or guaranteed social media promotion.

If you want to advertise or discuss a sponsorship, please contact us with a short description of your organisation and what you would like to promote.

  5. Ssamba Foundation supports all volunteer opportunities which contribute to the goals of sustainable development. However, one of the main reasons we started our volunteer program was to provide much-needed support services to people and communities that are largely ignored here in Uganda.

Ssamba Foundation is focused on some of the most challenging issues faced by individuals and communities. We are small and therefore specific and focused on only a few communities so we can make a significant impact on improving their day to day life and empowering them to change their own future. We work with the communities directly and the projects are our own initiated projects that result from interviews with the villages themselves.
