Diversity 🌍🤝

Explore diversity volunteering opportunities and projects where diversity, representation or participation across different backgrounds is an explicit part of the organisation’s values, activities or community life.
This is a deliberately selective tag. A project should not appear here simply because volunteers come from different countries or because an international team is involved.
What does diversity mean here? 🌍🤝
Diversity refers to the presence and recognition of people with different cultural, linguistic, social, gender, age, disability or other backgrounds and experiences. On Voluntouring, this tag is used when diversity is explicitly relevant to the project’s mission, programme or community approach rather than simply being a possible result of international travel.
Diversity and inclusion
Diversity and inclusion are related but not identical. Diversity concerns who is represented and which experiences or perspectives are present, while inclusion also depends on whether people can participate meaningfully in practice. A project describing itself as diverse or inclusive should therefore explain what this means in its actual activities and conditions.
