Volunteer with Baby Raccoons – Wildlife Rescue & Rehab Opportunity

Critter Care Wildlife Society (CCWS)

This adorable animal is a baby raccoon (Procyon lotor)!

Raccoons are small mammals known for their black “mask” around their eyes and their ringed tails. They are super smart and curious, often using their front paws like little hands to explore and grab things.

As babies, raccoons are very dependent on their mothers, needing warmth, milk, and protection. If they end up in a wildlife rescue center, like the one in your volunteer program, they are usually cared for until they’re strong enough to survive on their own in the wild.
