International civil service in Spain –ย is looking for a volunteer ready to work for a Placement Officer position in Madrid, Spain

Project description
Service Civil International (SCI) is the Spanish branch of the officially registered international movement International Civil Service that since 1920 works for peace and understanding between people.
Project:
The main objective of the project is to promote international volunteering. The volunteer will collaborate in carrying on our activities, according to the annual planning of SCI, supporting professionals and SCIยดs active members in promoting volunteering, providing a general overview as a factor of change and social improvement.
Profile
We are searching for a positive and open-minded person with an interest in multiculturalism, volunteering and willing to work every day in an office. Our office is placed in downtown so you will love it.
Language:
A high level of Spanish is required Due to the volume of applications received, weยดll not respond to applications that are not in Spanish.
Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
SCI Madrid is not responsible for providing accommodation. Volunteers will decide her/his own place to live.
At the beginning of every month, SCI Madrid will provide to ESC or CES-volunteers the pocket money. It will be a salary that will cover their accommodation, food, and transport; meaning that volunteers will manage the pocket money received for their own interests.
Training during the project
The daily program consists of 6 hours 5 days a week. There will be 2 consecutive free days/ week and 2 days of holiday for each month. To facilitate the participation of a high number of volunteers, some activities will take place during the weekend. In these cases, the number of working hours done by the volunteer will be adjusted for the following weeks, by reducing working hourโs amount o taking days off so that the total number of working hours per week does not exceed 35h. The volunteer will be trained by the European Solidarity Corps program, by SCI Madrid and their particular project.

Tasks: 1. Promoting international volunteering 2. Sending and receiving volunteerโs management process 3. Promotion and integration of volunteers into our local volunteer groups 4. Organization of intercultural awareness workshops organized during the week 5. Development and implementation of training meetings for potential volunteers that will participate in workcamps 6.Organization of meetings with voluntary organizations 7.Information material management and dissemination monthly process 8.Assistance to fairs, voluntary forum service or local associations meetings
