Hello from Chameleon hostel – Our Hostel combines old and traditional aesthetics with fresh and modern style.
Just 5 minutes walk from Thissio metro station, it is in the heart of the old town of Athens, offering the ability to go on foot in most of the ancient monuments like Acropolis. We wish to create a multicultural environment which is our home and we hope it becomes so for many backpackers throughout the world.

Free time at the hostel

Volunteering in a hostel is a beautiful way to communicate with travellers from all over the world in a nice environment. we would be happy to show you around the city and our habits and culture in our free time.

The hostel is in the city centre in the old town of Athens.

Next to the most important archaeological sights. Only 10 min walking distance from Psiri a nice alternative neighborhood with bars street art and restaurants, Gazi the clubbing aeria is only 5 min walking distance from Thissio metro station that goes to Pireus port and 10 min from Kerameikos metro station that goes to the airport.

Volunteering exchange in Athens – Chamaleon hostel

The hostel will offer accommodation to one of our mixed dorms it is small (20 persons max availability) and homey. We will also have a space with cooking products in our kitchen for them to cook if they like. We are in the city centre in the old town of Athens.

Internet access and other information

There is free internet access, a lovely cat in case you are allergic to cats maybe it is a problem and we are smokers.

How many hours of help a day?

The work is 4-5 hours 5 times per week.

We need people who are available for at least two weeks.

We have a minimum of 3 volunteers – they work 5 hours 5 times per week.

The hostel has availability for 24 people so it is quite small, we need help with the reception and laundry, we offer you accommodation and daily meals.

The shifts are in the afternoon and at night the reception closes at 1 am. The volunteers sleep in the same room in one of our mixed dormitories.
