We are providing short-term and long-term volunteering opportunities to work in rural India this summer.
Who are We?
We are a group of young people who have recently built a eco-friendly school in rural part of Udaipur city in Rajasthan, India.
The name of the school is Village Spirit Academy and it is a primary school with 125 students enrolled in the 2017-2018 batch.
The school is registered with a non-profit youth based organizationย ALFA Educational Society based in Udaipur only.
Where we need help?
The school is recently built and we need a lot of help with many different things. The vision of the school is to create a role model school across rural India where each and every gets the quality education they deserve and no one is left behind.
The school needs volunteers to help with teaching English, Yoga, Arts, Music/Dance, painting the school and classroom walls, doing plantation/growing grass and garden in the school, doing sports classes with kids, raising small funds for the school, developing the website and handling social media etc.
We are open to all ideas and suggestions to create a best, creative and a role model school in the region.
What you will get?
All volunteers will receive free basic food and accommodation.
The accommodation will be shared.
Pick up from the airport, 24*7 supervision,
1 day orientation before you start volunteering, some free informal Hindi class if you are interested, amazing real experience of rural life, few days of living and experiencing life with host families and an opportunity to meet other national and international volunteers.
We will also provide with you all the paperwork needed to get the work visa.
When you can start?
We look for volunteers throughout the year and one can start as soon as possible.
