Bagend Farm – Rustic Retreats in Spain

This off-grid yoga retreat in the Sierra Espuña mountains welcomes yoga teachers and teaching assistants. Volunteers assist in managing retreats, yoga sessions, and daily operations. In return, participants enjoy a peaceful setting, vegetarian meals, and the chance to deepen their yoga practice. Tasks include event preparation, kitchen help, and guest support. This retreat emphasizes community and sustainability.

General description

Our volunteer program needs help starting in September. 2 weeks Max/Min.

This is a 12,000-meter-old lemon farm in the Sierra Espuna mountains. We’re in the foothills of the Sierra Espuna mountains in a secluded valley. It is beautiful here! No light or air pollution and extremely peaceful. We have our own water supply, installed solar power and bio waste system. Other info:

• we’re totally self-sufficient in power.
• we run yoga retreats and many types of alternative self-sufficiency works shops,
• need help with our next yoga retreat and general work around the farm (which by the way is called Bagend).

Nearby

We have a small car and the town of Totana is 15 minutes away. Totana has all local amenities including a railway station.  Nearer is Aledo, a small hilltop village, with a Moorish tower.

Tasks would involve:

• Help in cooking,
• pool cleaning,
• general duties around the farm,
• going to market
• maintenance of solar system etc.

We would love to hear from you if you are enthusiastic, physically fit, adaptable, easygoing, prepared to work hard and then relax and enjoy life.

This is an opportunity for up to 4 people.

Experience is not essential but you do need to be physically fit, and able to lift.

We offer accommodation (tent), food, and good company in return for 5 hours of help a day running the retreat.
