Workshops
The volunteer projects listed on this page will give you the opportunity to take part in different kinds of workshops, courses and seminars.
What is a workshop?
Workshop is, without doubt, one of the most abused words in event marketing.ย If you want to make an event irresistibly interesting, simply use the magic word “workshop”. Jokes aside, if you think that the real added value in an event is the active participation of the guests, then you are in the right place.
Originally, the word workshop simply identified “lessons” in which something was materially constructed, then with the spread of design and creative professions it extended its meaning to meetings and gatherings in which all participants are active players. The participants animate the discussion, share ideas and work out solutions, achieving tangible results. It is not important whether the result is material or immaterial, whether it leads to a product idea or the design of photographic reportage. The important thing is that the result is the fruit of everyone’s participation, that everyone has ‘gotten their hands dirty’.
A workshop is not quite a seminar or a conference!
Seminars and conferences are different matters. In seminars and conferences, you can find good professionals who have important things to tell, and in these events, there are often final discussions between the speakers and the audience, sometimes even the possibility of meeting the speakers themselves to discuss specific topics.
A workshop is an event laboratory, made up of big tables with many chairs around them, speakers-tutors sitting elbow to elbow with the audience who become the ‘main actors’ of the event itself.
