What is hitchhiking?

Hitchhiking occurs every time we raise our thumb or forefinger and stop the car, perhaps saying first with a sign where we need to go: whether it is Berlin, Madrid or Mosca, the chosen one will take you anywhere, as long as it is on the route.

How to properly hitch a ride?

Choose a busy road: be it cars, motorcycles, bicycles or elephants it must be busy, otherwise, it might be difficult to find somebody to pick you up.
State clearly where you want to go.
According to experienced travellers, it would be preferable to choose drivers who speak your own language. If you are tourists in a foreign land, you will have to speak with gestures. Which can also be fun.
Make sure that the driver is a good person and does not take you to an abandoned mill. He may have suspicions about you too: always dress and behave appropriately.
Make sure the chosen vehicle is a car with a luggage rack. Well, it’s not fundamental, but it obviously helps!
