Smile Academy, officially known as SmILe Academy, is an educational social enterprise situated approximately three kilometers from Siem Reap’s city center on the route to the Angkor Wat temple. Founded by Kimsorn Ngam, a Cambodian educator with a Master’s in TESOL and international experience across Europe, America, and Asia, the academy offers courses in English, Chinese, computer skills, and essential life skills to local children.
The academy operates as a self-sustaining project, aiming to provide quality education to the community while generating future funding support through its services. In addition to its educational offerings, Smile Academy seeks volunteers to assist with teaching, marketing, and educational research. Volunteers are expected to commit to a minimum stay of one month and are provided with free accommodation.
Smile Academy collaborates with BOOKBRIDGE, an organization that supports social enterprises focused on education. Through this partnership, the academy aims to transform into a community hub where individuals of all ages can learn, grow, and achieve economic prosperity.
