Earth is more valuable than money

But what happens when we finally realise that the things that keep us alive – clean air, drinkable water, fertile soil, a stable climate – cannot be bought, manufactured, or replaced?

Earth gives us everything for free.

Oxygen. Food. Seasons. Beauty. Balance.

And yet the global economic system treats it as both an infinite mine and an endless landfill, always expected to give more, to absorb more, to cost less.

The economy should serve life not the other way around.

Continuing to sacrifice ecosystems for short-term profit is like burning the floorboards to keep warm for one more night.

Itโ€™s reckless.

Itโ€™s suicidal.

Itโ€™s capitalism at its worst.

Alternatives do exist.

They go by many names:

  • ecological transition,
  • solidarity economies,
  • climate justice.

They all point toward the same idea: that we must flip the system.

We must stop measuring human progress in GDP and start measuring it in well-being, biodiversity, access to clean water, strong communities, and time to live.

Because deep down, we already know: when the last tree is cut down, the last river poisoned, the last bee gone โ€” we will realize we canโ€™t eat money.

The Earth is more than valuable. Itโ€™s sacred. Itโ€™s finite. Itโ€™s the only home we have. It deserves our protection, our care, our daily resistance.

It deserves to be more than an afterthought in someone elseโ€™s quarterly report.

What can we do to protect our planet’s climate? ๐Ÿค”๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐ŸŒก๏ธ
