Casa La Playa volunteer call: A historical hostel and cultural centre located in Zihuatanejo, Guerrero, Mexico is in search of motivated volunteers. The hostel has been in operation since 1960 and is situated on the main beach in the heart of Zihuatanejo.
Tasks
The volunteer program is designed to support the small hostel and cultural centre with tasks such as cleaning, maintenance, gardening, attending guests, helping in the kitchen, marketing, social media, and organization.
Benefits
In exchange for approximately five hours of work a day, five days a week, the volunteer will receive a bed in a shared room with a private bathroom and access to the kitchen, garden, and outdoor areas with chairs and hammocks.
Requirements
The hostel is seeking responsible individuals who share their values and are interested in supporting a small business while also learning about the local culture. There are no specific entry requirements, but the volunteer should be able to communicate in both Spanish and English at a basic level and commit to at least two weeks. It would be also beneficial if the volunteer has an interest in hotel management, gardening, communication, or social media.
