British Language Academy: Chat with students after class
The British Language Academy is a language center in Casablanca and Berrechid, Morocco, offering English courses to students of various ages, including minors. Volunteers join informal after-class conversation sessions with students, always under the supervision of our staff members, who remain present throughout each session.
In exchange, we provide free shared accommodation in an apartment with fellow volunteers and organize group trips such as visits to the Sahara Desert and Chefchaouen. Volunteers must commit to a minimum stay of 3 weeks, follow the academyโs code of conduct, and never meet with students one-on-one or outside supervised sessions.

How to get to your site
From Casablanca Mohammed V Airport (CMN) to Berrechid
- Train, recommended: Take the ONCF train from the airport station to Berrechid via Casa Oasis. The journey takes about 1 hour and 48 minutes in total, including the transfer.
- Taxi: A direct taxi takes about 19 minutes. It is faster but more expensive and can be useful for late-night arrivals or groups.
Between Casablanca city center and Berrechid
- Train: Trains run directly between Casablanca and Berrechid, taking about 22 minutes, with regular departures. Most trains depart from Casablanca Voyageurs station, although some also stop at Casablanca LโOasis. Check your ticket for the exact departure point.
- Grand taxi / bus: These are also available, but journey times can depend on highway traffic, so the train is generally the most practical choice.
From the city center school to Hay Chrifa
- Bus: Local Casabus lines 39 and 22.
- Petit taxi: A simple option for volunteers. Taxis are metered and available throughout the city. Tell the driver โHay Chrifaโ and the nearby landmark.
- Tram: Depending on your starting point, the tram can also be useful, although a bus or taxi may be more direct for this area.
Is there internet access?
Yes, reliable Wi-Fi.
