Opportunities for music teachers in refugee camps (Greece) – CBM still has the opportunity for MUSIC TEACHERS or MUSIC THERAPISTS with an emphasis on guitar, piano, percussion and/or vocals to join our music program as a volunteer in 2020! As a volunteer, you will support the Greek CBM teacher team in Lesvos, or you will support the CBM team on mainland Greece, depending on your expertise and skills.
We will offer:

You need to:
- Identify yourself with the mission and vision of CBM
- Have a degree in teaching or music-related education
- Be able to follow and support the education program CBM set up
- Be able to cope with emotional and confronting situations and you know how to separate work from your personal life

Connect by Music is currently looking for music therapists or music teachers interested in joining us on a voluntary basis for a period of at least two weeks. You can also apply for voluntary work if you are a music therapy student or music student looking for a work placement abroad.
Besides working with a group of volunteers, Connect by Music also works with a steady team of music teachers and music therapists who largely consist of local professionals.
Depending on your experience and availability, you would work either independently or support our team of Greek teachers at one of our active locations. Since two years, Connect by Music has been active on the Island of Lesvos. At the beginning of 2019, we started two new music projects on the mainland in Greece at camps Thermopylae and Malakasa.
Connect by Music will take care of accommodation (volunteer house) and provide a (shared) car. The apartment is a shared apartment with other volunteers. The flight ticket is for your expense.
Fees
What we are expecting from our volunteers is the commitment to raise financial support for Connect By Music in your social network. As guidance, we would appreciate if you could raise Euro 200,- per week as a donation for CBM. All funds are used for 100% to execute the CBM program and the cost CBM is making for your stay.
