Small rural homestead looking for volunteers
The volunteer casita is available from approximately April 1st onwards, for an individual or a couple.
Mico & Asya, long-time natural health advocates and healthy gourmet food lovers, welcome you to our boutique organic farm and wellness center, specialising in natural living, plant-based wellness, natural healing, farm-to-table meals and eco-tourism.

Help time
Work is 15 hours per week in exchange for lodging only (no food, but the food is not expensive here),
with plenty of free time left to explore this beautiful region of the Andes.
Accommodation
You have your own stand-alone structure, a solid, secure, cosy, dry space, 15 m2/161 square feet.
This is a very simple basic one-room studio dwelling with outdoor sink, shower (no hot water) and dry compost toiletA composting toilet is a sanitation system that treats human waste with little or no flushing water, using biological decomposition instead of a conventional sewer connection..
Inside is a comfortable queen bed, counter space with basic kitchen equipment (including 4 burner stove top and mini fridge) and shelving.
Internet and Wifi
Wifi and the use of a washing machine are included.
Requirements
Honest, self-motivated individual who can also work independently is desired.
This is an eco-friendly environment (please no chemical body or home-care products, as drains go to outside). No cigarette smoking on the property please.
Location
The location is about a 5 minute drive or bus from Vilcabamba, and 15 minute walk (muddy during the rainy season, Dec-Apr) from the main highway, where buses (and taxis) pass every 15 minutes for 40¢ to Vilcabamba and $1.25 to Loja. There are 2 (other) houses on the property, one is a guesthouse/rental, the other our home. Asya is a massage therapist, is passionate about natural health, and eats a fresh, plant-based diet. She has traveled and lived in many countries, and speaks English, Spanish, French and Chinese. Mico is a plant-based chef and a wellness/detox consultant…

Este intercambio es para ayudar con el mantenimiento de la tierra en una pequeña finca.
- Retirar y cortar las malezas, los proyectos de permacultura
- jardinería (enrejados de edificios, camas de jardín levantadas, haciendo terrazas, obras de agua, haciendo caminos nuevos, abierto a nuevas ideas),
- cosecha ocasional,
- apicultura,
- siembra,
- abono,
- riego,
- jardinería y
- algún trabajo manual como excavación, construcción con rocas, etc…
El trabajo es de 15 horas a la semana a cambio de alojamiento sólo (no la comida, pero la comida es muy barata aquí),
Intercambio
Con un montón de tiempo libre para explorar esta hermosa región semitropical de los Andes. Usted tiene su propia habitación independiente, un espacio sólido, seguro, acogedor, seco, 15 m2 / 161 pies cuadrados. Se trata de una simple estudio básico de una habitación de vivienda con lavabo, ducha (sin agua caliente) y baño seco.
En el interior hay una cómoda cama de matrimonio, espacio de mostrador con equipo básico de cocina (incluyendo estufa y nevera pequeña) y estanterías.
Wifi y el uso de una lavadora están incluidos.
La ducha, baño seco y lavabo están afuera de la habitación. Se desea personas honestas, auto-motivada que también puede trabajar independientemente. Este es un ambiente respetuoso con el medio ambiente (por favor, no utilice productos químicos, ya que los desagües van al exterior).
No se permite fumar cigarrillos aquí por favor.
Ubicación
La ubicación está a unos 5 minutos en bus desde Vilcabamba, y a 15 minutos a pie (lodoso cuando llueve mucho, dic-abr) de la autopista principal, donde los autobuses (y taxis) pasan cada 15 minutos por 40 centavos a Vilcabamba, $1.25 a Loja. Hay 2 casas en la propiedad, una es una casa de huéspedes en alquiler, la otra nuestra casa.
Quien somos
Asya es un terapeuta de masaje, es un apasionado de la salud natural y come una dieta fresca, basada en plantas. Ha viajado y vivido en muchos países, y habla inglés, español, francés, y chino. Mico es un chef vegetariano y consultor de bienestar / desintoxicación … Ven a ayudar a hacer una diferencia en esta pacífica, escénica y paradisiaco oasis verde! Preferimos una estadía mínima de un mes. Gracias.
