Catalonia
Volunteering opportunities in Catalonia – Catalunya is an autonomous region of Spain located in the eastern part of the Iberian Peninsula. Its official language is Catalan, but Spanish (Castigliano) is widely spoken. Catalonia is famous for its natural beauty, history, and rich culture. The region is known for its beaches, national parks, mountains, and historic cities such as Barcelona, Girona, and Tarragona. Catalonia is also famous for its delicious food, such as pa amb tomaquet (bread with tomato) and xatÃģ (salad with tuna, boiled eggs, and walnut sauce). If you visit Catalonia, be sure to also visit the Costa Brava region north of Barcelona, which is known for its beautiful beaches and medieval towns.
