Fixed reception shifts, housekeeping, food preparation or other duties that substantially replace regular staff may be subject to local labour and immigration rules even when the organisation itself is non-profit.

Before travelling, check whether the proposed activities are permitted under your immigration status. Tourist or visitor entry does not automatically allow every form of unpaid work exchange.
