Skills, tools and safety

Ask what tasks you will actually perform, what protective equipment is provided and who supervises unfamiliar work. Volunteers should not undertake structural, electrical, plumbing or other specialised work beyond their skills or any qualifications required locally.
For commercial properties or regular productive work, also check whether employment, immigration or insurance rules apply to the arrangement.
