Camino Portugués or Caminho Português? 🐚🇵🇹
Camino Portugués is the Spanish name, while Caminho Português is Portuguese. Both refer to the Portuguese routes of the Camino de Santiago. There are different itineraries, including inland and coastal routes, so the exact places and stages depend on the route chosen.
Volunteering along the Portuguese Way
Volunteer roles connected with the Camino may involve welcoming pilgrims, preparing shared spaces, helping with meals, gardening, cleaning or other hospitality tasks. Conditions vary between hosts, and not every albergue or accommodation provider operates as a volunteer project.
