Artistic & Creativity programs

Explore art and creativity volunteering opportunities with communities, cultural organisations, non-profit projects, festivals and other hosts looking for artists, performers, makers and creative people.
Opportunities may involve visual arts, music, theatre, photography, filmmaking, creative workshops, cultural events, communication or collaborative community projects. Some listings may be seasonal, archival or no longer active, so always check the publication date and confirm current details directly with the host.
How to use this page
Open the opportunity that interests you and read the complete announcement. Look for the contact details at the end of the listing to find the host’s website, email address or application procedure.
Before applying, confirm the activities, weekly hours, days off, materials provided, accommodation, meals, minimum stay and any fees, deposits, allowances or other financial arrangements directly with the host.
Some opportunities may be fair exchanges with no mandatory participant fee, while others may request a contribution or programme fee. If payment is required, ask for the exact amount, what it covers and the applicable payment, cancellation and refund conditions before making a commitment.
Voluntouring does not organise placements, select participants, arrange visas or mediate between volunteers and hosts. It does not process participant payments between volunteers and host organisations. Publication on Voluntouring.org does not in itself constitute verification, endorsement or a recommendation of an organisation or programme.
Creative work and project expectations
Creative volunteering can range from informal cultural exchange to producing artwork, photographs, videos, performances or promotional material for an organisation. Ask the host to define clearly what you are expected to create and how your work may be used.
If photographs, videos, designs or other creative material will be published or used commercially, clarify consent, attribution and usage rights before starting. When projects involve children or vulnerable people, additional privacy and safeguarding standards should apply.
Regular creative work for a commercial venue, event, tourism business or other income-generating activity may also be subject to employment and immigration rules. Do not assume that an unpaid creative role is automatically treated as volunteering.
