The volunteer holds a small Turkish flag and a piece of local food, symbolising cultural exchange, friendship and everyday life during ESC volunteering in Turkey. At CEDID, international volunteers support English speaking activities, creative workshops and digital projects with local young people. They also discover Turkish culture through food, language, music and shared experiences with the community.
The 40 day project in Siirt is part of the European Solidarity Corps programme. Volunteers receive food and accommodation, travel support, health insurance and a Youthpass certificate. No previous teaching experience is required, only motivation and a desire to communicate in English.
