We are CEDID Association, a youth-focused NGO based in Siirt, Türkiye.

We host short-term European Solidarity Corps volunteers to support English-speaking activities, cultural exchange, and community-based projects with local young people.

We provide a safe, supportive environment where volunteers can learn, teach, and share their culture.

How many volunteers could you host? 🎎
  • Up to 10 volunteers
When do you usually need volunteers? 📅
  • We host short-term ESC volunteers for 40-day projects. Current project dates: 10 January – 19 February 2026.
How many hours of help per day? ⏱
  • 4–5 hours of help per day
How many days of help per week? 🌒
  • 5 days per week – 2 days off
Note about the volunteer work and other expectations 📝

Volunteers participate in English-speaking sessions, digital content production, intercultural activities, simple workshops, community visits and cultural exchange tasks.

No professional experience is required; motivation is essential.

Are accommodation and food included? 🏠🍜

Yes, we offer food and accommodation.

What type of accommodation can you provide? 🏕
  • Dormitory/shared rooms 🛌

  • We support volunteers with daily food allowance.
  • Vegetarian options are possible.
  • Vegan options may require self-cooking.
Fee transparency 🆓🔍
  • There is no fee. This is an EU-funded project under the European Solidarity Corps.

Exploring Siirt’s nature, Botan Valley, local markets, cultural sites, cafés, walking routes, photography, social events with local youth.

Language 🗣🇬🇧

English. Volunteers also receive basic Turkish lessons.

Geography 🌳

Siirt is a small, friendly city in Southeast Türkiye.

The region has mountains, valleys, historical sites and strong local culture.

Winter is cold and rainy.

How to get to your site ✈ 🗺

Closest airports:

  • Siirt Airport (15 minutes)
  • Batman Airport (1 hour)
  • Diyarbakır Airport (2 hours)

From the airport, volunteers can take shuttle or bus to Siirt city center.

Our volunteer house is located in central Siirt, close to shops and cafés.

Is there internet access? 🌐

Yes!

“Paying guests” option. Could you accommodate “solidarity” tourists? 🎎

No, we cannot accommodate paying guests. We only need volunteers 🙅‍♀️
