This photo shows children from Mothers and Children Uganda (MCU) gathered outside their community school in Bugembe, Jinja City. MCU is a local NGO that empowers vulnerable mothers and children through education, health awareness, and skills training. Volunteers are welcome all year to help with teaching, language exchange, computer skills, fundraising, farming, cleaning, and basic health outreach. Accommodation and meals are provided, with a small $4 per day contribution to support utilities and community programs. Placements are 4–5 hours a day, 5 days a week. All ages and volunteers with disabilities are welcome, and visa support is available.
