Fridayhappiness Associação is a cultural and arts community located in the mountains of Monchique, Southern Portugal. Established in 2012, the community focuses on sustainable living through permaculture gardens, farm animals, and various arts and cultural workshops. They aim to provide an alternative lifestyle immersed in nature, promoting self-sufficiency and environmental consciousness. A highlight of their activities is the weekly “Friday Pizza Party Night,” a tradition spanning over eight years. Every Friday from 18:00, locals and travelers gather to enjoy handmade pizzas, live music, and a vibrant atmosphere. The event fosters a sense of community and cultural exchange, making it a renowned gathering in the region. For those interested in immersive experiences, Fridayhappiness offers volunteer opportunities. Volunteers engage in various tasks, including gardening, animal care, and event preparation, contributing to the community’s self-sustaining goals.
