Run for Child Poverty organised a special charity challenge called โ€œRun for Africaโ€, a 2500 mile run from Tanzania to Namibia.

The project raised money for small organisations that support street children and help them into education. This Voluntouring listing described two main volunteer roles on the support team: a videographer to film the journey and create powerful clips for supporters, and a physio or sports masseuse to help the runner stay healthy. Volunteers helped about 4 to 5 hours per day and also shared simple tasks like setting up camp and cooking. Food and tent accommodation were covered, while volunteers paid for flights and personal expenses. Conditions included wild camping, basic showers and very hot weather while travelling through Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia and Namibia. The run took place in 2020 and the charity is no longer active in the same form, so this opportunity is now a historical listing rather than a current call for volunteers.
